  1. This guy is an amazing person. He’s been an activist for a long time. He’s been trying to bring awareness to bullying and violence in Michigan communities. He once *crawled* to Detroit, which took him 11 days. He spent a winter night in a cardboard box outside of a college to bring awareness to homelessness.

    News article on Holley: https://www.detroitnews.com/story/news/local/michigan/2018/02/19/activist-bobby-holley-battle-creek-trent-buckner/110586650/?from=new-cookie

  2. The problem is the protests are rooted in a lot of mis-information. News stories enjoy cherry picking facts and stats to push an agenda and fear-monger the public. Example: There weren’t 18 school shootings this year, there were 3. Ar’s are not “assualt rifles” and the term “assault weapon” refers to how something looks, not functions. Automatic weapons are already heavily regulated (to the point where they’re basically illegal and not used in any crimes) and passing a new law rooted in how something looks is irrational and ripe for counter-protest and will probably result in multiple civil wars (and the fact that ALL rifles, yes including AR’s, only attribute to 3% of all gun-related violence). Funny how a Hi-Point .22 is used in nearly 60% of all gun-related crimes and can be bought at any gunstore / fishing store in the country for around $100…yet no one cares. Interesting.

I’d love it if both sides could come to terms and figure out something that has some common sense behind it…but that would require BOTH sides to both have KNOWLEDGE on the subjects at hand, what laws are already in effect, and what states already implemented the laws they want passed on a federal level to see just how well they’re actually working.

    Edit: Words / clarification.

  4. I hope they make it illegal to bring guns to schools and also outlaw murder of children. I tried looking online and I noticed there aren’t any hunting limits or permits either /s

  5. Go watch that latest CNN town-hall and tell me the entire audience doesn’t go nuts when Marco Rubio mentions banning all semi-auto firearms. I really like Joe Biden but he’s famous for saying nobody needs a semi-automatic, and the sound of cocking a shotgun was just as effective. The constant insistence by the left that nobody needs an AR to hunt has nothing to do with tracking, sales or mental health. It’s about banning guns.

Nobody wants to admit they support a gun ban when asked, but they certainly don’t step up when the idea is introduced by the left.

  6. Lawmakers ? What are they going to do? Stand guard at schools? Or better yet investigate why the horrendous, anti male, pro solo mum, public systems are raising mentally unstable abused angry young boys?

  7. I like the message of “better protect schools from gun violence” instead of all the other headlines out there. For one it’s much more realistic than just making more restrictive gun legislation and it’s also what we should be doing. School shootings are only at guess what? Schools, so instead of changing gun laws as a whole maybe you should start with more preventative measures at the location of all these shootings.

  8. Yay Mr. Holley! I agree with his mission. Let’s arm old veterans who would be happy to volunteer to guard our schools and children. Their noble service will even inspire the students themselves!

  9. Okay so I kinda feel like now that this story is out there and going viral and getting people talking about it, I wish the old man would go home and take it easy.

  10. Simply improve general living conditions so people have better things to do than start mass shootings. Not only will you stop the very few number of actual shootings, everybody will happier.

  11. This guy has also crawled long distances to a raise awareness for his causes.

I remember the first time I saw him. I was leaving the funeral of my cousin. It was a very sad time as he was the first person I was close to who passed, and really the first person I had known to pass.

We were leaving the church when we saw him.

He was hunched over and crawling across the ground with pads on his hands and knees. It was ridiculous. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing and I couldn’t help but laugh.

Thanks for bringing some laughter to a sad day Mr. Holley! Even if it was unintentional.
